#7 My Best friend, My Hero

Superman, Batman, Spiderman --- these are examples of imaginary superheroes popular to most children. In real life situation, can you think of someone whom you think best suit as your superhero?

Some would say their moms or teachers, as everybody knows. If I would be asked of the same question stated above, I would say that my superhero is my best friend, Bryan. Tall, dark, and handsome, a perfect image of a superhero. He was my best friend since grade school. As a child, I was very reckless and danger is always on my way yet he was there ready to save me from all of it. He was always my knight and shining armor and I was always the damsel in distress. One instance in my life that I can never forget was when he saved me from drowning when we were swimming. At that point, I really thought I would already meet Thanatos, the god of Death but thanks to my best friend for saving me. I depended my life on my best friend and whenever he's around, I feel so safe and powerful. There are times that we have taken our best friends for granted with the things they do for us. Big or little things it may be, it should be appreciated just as how we appreciate our parents and teachers. My best friend is like my brother, my confidant. He's also like my mom who scolds me when I am wrong and my dad who protects me from danger.

We all have different preferences of superheroes. Appreciation only matters. Now, take a look around, have you already found your own superhero?

#5 My one Unforgettable Experience

January 11, 2010, an unforgettable day that I can’t forget...

It was the celebration of the 52th Anniversary of our barrio and we called it “Araw of Guinoman” were many events are prepared by our barrio officials. It was a very exciting days for us, students, in fact we’re always looking forward for that day to come. A more than a week no class and most especially those events that youth like me use to enjoy, and the top of them is the what we called “DISCO”. Yes, I’m a disco addict. Will most the teenagers nowadays use to dance, shakie bogies that are teenagers in 21st century. As I’ve mention young people like me are adventurous, daring, and stubborn sometimes.

My friends invited me to join with them, to dance. Before I got run out and join them, of course I asked my parents if it is okay to gather with my beloved friends since it was fiesta day of our barrio.
After, all of a sudden my father does not let me to do so, but as stubborn as I left home the moment they fell asleep.

I enjoy every moment when I was with my friends, dancing wild. Later when my friends decided to go home I have no choice since they are only my companion there.  So what I did is to go home, again I broke in. I make my way through one of my window in my room that happened in the 2nd floor of our house. But then my mom caught me and calls my father and as expected he’s scold me for not obeying them, not being them, not being good child, and yelled at me by putting myself into danger. What I did is yelled back and I reason out but I’m not intended to mean something that hurt their feelings I just want to defend myself. I was shocked then 1st time of my entire life, my father slapped me twice. I didn’t expect that he gonna do something that made me cry all out. He used to be the sweetest father for me, then I realized that time I was really wrong for not obeying them and if time machine does really exist I would go back and change the past and I will never do that again.
